The project “Studying legal disciplines in German language” was launched in the University in February 2012 on the initiative of the President of National University “Odessa Law Academy”, Academician Sergey Kivalov to provide a high level of language and professional training for law students, promote partnership contacts between German and Ukrainian higher education institutions and strengthen cooperative ties between Germany, Austria and Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project, students and teachers also participate in various international conferences, round tables with subsequent publication of articles and abstracts on legal disciplines in German language. So, article theses of third-year students of the Faculty of International Legal Relations of National University “Odessa Law Academy” M. Melnik and M. Mazok were published in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Advocacy: Past, Present and Future”. Theses of the students’ articles were published in German language within the framework of the discipline “Rechstanwaltschaft der Ukraine” (“Advocacy of Ukraine”).
Their scientific supervisor was Larisa Chekmareva, Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Advocacy, Assistant of the Department of Organization of Judicial, Law Enforcement Authorities and Advocacy, teacher of legal discipline in German language called “Rechstanwaltschaft der Ukraine” (“Advocacy of Ukraine”). She has also published an article in the modern scientific journal “Young Scientist” in German language on the topic “Berufshaftpflichtversicherung des Rechtsanwaltes” (“Professional liability insurance of an advocate”).
